Jeffrey Palm focuses on developing solutions to environmental problems through an integrated science-policy management framework. Through his work, Jeffrey aims to increase ecological and community resilience to climate change with interdisciplinary collaboration, equity, and a balance of scientific and traditional ecological knowledge. While working at OST, Jeffrey will support an ongoing project adapting fisheries management plans in response to implications associated with climate change.
Prior to joining the OST team in 2022, Jeffrey was a Marine Naturalist and the Sustainability Officer at the Maui Ocean Center. Jeffrey also served as a Field Technician at the Sloth Institute in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.
Jeffrey received his B.S. in zoology and environmental studies from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and is currently working towards his M.S. in environmental policy and management with a specialization in marine resource management and climate change science & policy at the University of California Davis.
