David Lawlor works with individuals, families, charitable foundations, and businesses to help them realize their philanthropic goals. He has a strong belief in the power of both philanthropy and science to catalyze equitable solutions to complex problems. His objective is to secure funding that supports the science necessary to enable informed decisions that benefit our ocean and coastal communities.
Prior to joining the OST team in 2022, David was the Director of Development at the Western Environmental Law Center. David also served in a development capacity at Earthjustice and the Environmental Protection Information Center.
David received his M.A. in Social Science from Cal Poly Humboldt, and a B.A. in Journalism from San Francisco State University.
Previously, David served on the Board of Directors at the Calapooia Watershed Council in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
