Brie Lindsey has operated at the boundary of science and policy in California for more than a decade, with experience growing expert networks, innovating on delivery of services, translating complex technical information, and developing personnel capacity. With a strong belief that science needs to be part of evidence-based policymaking, and an appreciation of the rich talent and experience found throughout California’s science and practitioner research communities, her approach to incorporating science advising is rooted in the desires to serve, connect, and help lift those who wish to meaningfully contribute to a stronger California. At OST, Brie’s driving goals are to respond to state ocean science priorities and horizon-scan to foster equitable science solutions to the challenges facing coastal communities and ocean ecosystems in California.
