Amanda Chiachi joins OST as a CSU COAST intern from CSU Northridge (CSUN), where she is completing her masters in Biology. Her thesis investigates the impacts of marine heatwaves on red abalone aquaculture. She brings experience as a tech for the Lubchenco-Menge Lab at Oregon State University and expertise as an organizer of student/faculty groups supporting the success of underrepresented students at CSUN. Amanda will be working with the team for the summer months to advance OST’s Legislative Science Services with briefings and science communication products, along with other project-based work.
