Meghan Zulian is a solutions-driven interdisciplinary researcher specializing in coastal and climate science, community engagement, and science-policy integration. In her new role, Meghan will be contributing to the California Ocean & Coast Report card, where she will be synthesizing the best available science with diverse community perspectives to evaluate and improve the state’s approach to coastal management. Meghan firmly believes that tackling complex challenges at the intersection of social justice and climate change requires inclusive, collaborative solutions that draw on all forms of knowledge.
Prior to joining OST as a Science Policy Fellow, Meghan worked with the Ocean Protection Council and in environmental consulting, where she supported Indigenous-led climate solutions and the reinstatement of Tribal harvesting rights. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis, an M.S. in Earth Science from the University of Toronto, and a B.Sc.H. in Geological Sciences from Queen’s University, Canada.
